In one of the weirdest and most creative uses of technological advertising in a while, indie rockers White Denim have teamed up with Spotify and North Face to release a track called “No Nee Ta Slode Aln” which will only be available to Spotify users when it’s raining where they are. It’s all pretty goofy, but really kinda cool. Although it’s all tied into a campaign to sell the new North Face Apex Flex GTX, it’s still a very clever way to use the available tech to create buzz. I’m interested to see how far this goes. But in the meantime, you can listen to a snippet of the track in the commercial for the jacket.
