Amsterdam-based alt-indie band Klangstof  was created by Norwegian singer/songwriter and producer Koen van de Wardt in 2014 after his stint as a bassist with the Dutch indie band ‘Moss.’ His band members include, Jobo, Wannes and Jun.

Their first track “Hostage” was released in 2016 and in the same year they signed with Mind of a Genius, home to Zhu and Gallant. The first single appears on their debut album, “Close Eyes to Exit.”

Klangstof played at Coachella 2017 and are noted to be the first Dutch band to ever play the festival!

In case you are wondering what “klangstof” means, it’s a combination of the Norwegian word for “reverb” (“Klang“), and the Dutch word for “dust” (“Stof“).
